This video is a very in-depth explanation to an excellent question on my last YouTube video. Most comments can be answered in just a few written sentences, but, I knew that this one would've been good for everyone to hear and much better received over a video than me just typing a few key points out. Again, too many people are concerned with "overtraining" when in reality they're just they're just wasting valuable time. A lot of people tend to ask me this question and I'll refer them to a previous video I made but I guess I left it more "up in the air" and almost left them more confused than even before they watched the video. To put it simply, overtraining is a myth. Your body will adjust to whatever you put it through and end up recovering faster and stronger if you do it on a consistent basis. Episode 117 of the SKIGH Vlog takes a little bit of a different turn as I review one of my absolute favorite basketball shoes that I have ever owned. I'm not a "shoe junkie" but I've worn this shoe long enough to know what it's best for! The pair I'm holding in my hand is the fourth Drose 6 shoe I've ever owned. Over the last 10 years in this basement, I transformed my body, mind and, of course, my vertical. I put 20" on my max vert, took my bench went from 85lbs. to 325lbs., my squat from 65lbs. to 415lbs. and my deadlift from 185lbs. (started deadlifting later in 2013) to 508lbs, I started lifting weights in 2008 after I got a Bench Press Set from Sears from my oldest sister. I see dozens, if not, hundreds of people struggle to get their first dunk on a certain rim height (whether that be 9', 9'6", 10'), But, I go into detail as to why it's not as effective going after a rim height that you just can't handle yet - both physically and mentally. When you try to dunk on a 10' rim 2-3 times a week for 45+ minutes at a time but your max* dunk height is 9'6" and you can only get it 5-10% of the time, you may be doing more "harm" than good. First Dunk Session of the Summer was a success! No matter which way I look at it, I came back from a 9-month injury stronger and more athletic than ever. I was ridiculously excited for last summer's potential dunk sessions so that was definitely crushing but...I'm baaaaaackk!

9'10" Rim - 5'8" Me = 50"

50" - 5" away from the rim (not exact measurements so email me with disagreements) = 45" height check.

Being sore from a dunk session I had yesterday, there needs to be a strategy behind how I prepare for another dunk session tomorrow (two days later in total). Right now, I don't really have my "Summer legs" which means I can't just go dunk whenever and wherever at the moment. I'll start off the day with my water, green smoothie and coffee. I had a bagel and a roll for a few extra carbs before I cut my lawn in my sweatshirt and sweatpants. After that, I sweat it out just casually shooting around.
